I have one problem of my WC-7535. The printer status shows “The Machine is not available.”
“Reset The Machine”
Turn the power to the machine OFF and Wait 2 minute(s)
I load the software from USB flash drive (Regular AltBoot, upgrade and FORCED_UPGRADE) but I face same problem. When I tried to load software it take to 25-30 min but “Data Encryption/Decryption” take above 2 hour. I also changed the HDD but same problem.

I have a 5855 running .14800 and the Omni HID CAC reader patch the works fine..., now. However the Army requires that printing be locked down too and that's where the problem lies. After logging/CACing in the user goes to job status to release their job(s) just in time for it to disappear. No message, no errors displayed or printed. Copying and email works fine. Also, PCL6 is the code set and they are not sending PS.
I have never seen anything like this and before I start another log on this install I thought I would offer it up to the Nation.

User sent a PDF doucment to copier and the document printed without the user being promted to enter their secure print password. All configurations are correctly set to only allow secure printing. Any ideas what could be causing this? We are using the PS driver.
Someone in the office changed our black toner cartridge out this morning and now every time we print/copy something, there is an area of print about a 1/2 inch wide, one third of the way down the paper that is smeared every time. I'm not sure if it was doing this before the cartridge was changed out, as I was not yet here this morning.
Any clue on what it could be and what I can do to fix the situation?
Color C75 Press with Integrated Fiery. Black prints using screens and halftones print blotchy. Paper primarily used is 60 lb. Husky (not a real smooth finish). If you output as "color" utilizing CMYK the print looks good, but if you print gray scale they are blotchy & blurry (uneven). Aside from changing stock, which is not really an option, is there anything in the print / Fiery set-up that can be changed to give us a better quality print?
I use only genuine Xerox toner. I purchased by mistake a 106R01083 which is for a 6300, and I have a 6360. The toner cartridge looks the same except the 106R01219 has a large compartment on the top to hold more toner. Will it work to use the 106R01083 in my 6360 or is the software chip going to tell the printer that it has incompatible toner installed? I don't want to pull the tab to find out in case I need to return it. If I can't use it I will be without a laser printer for several days, and we need it for our business.

We were just sent a new printer by Xerox to replace one that they could not fix. The new printer is a Phaser 6700. Our old printer would automatically print from tray 1 any time there was paper loaded into it (exception for envelopes and labels). How do I set up the new Phaser 6700 to do this? Right now we have to go into our document and select the tray and the paper type (glossy, cardstock, plain, etc.) and it has to match whatever is in tray 1 otherwise it will not print. This is a huge inconvience.
Basically I want to be able to put paper in tray 1, tell the printer what it is and then have any document I send to the printer pull from that tray. When it is empty/closed I want the printer to use tray 2. Can this be done?
We have a XEROX WorkCentre 7556 that requires accounting codes (using Xerox Standard).
Since Apple updated the native Xerox drivers (Xerox Printer Software Update 3.0) in OS X 10.9, we've had a hard time keeping our OS X clients happily printing to our copier. I've found that driver v2.77.0 works the best. The only problem is Apple updates will trump this driver and I'm forced to reinstall the 2.77.0 after every Apple update. Not fun with mutliple OS X users.
I've tried the newest driver v3.33.1 (released Aug 4, 2014), but it rejects my accounting codes (with a previously working preset). Does anyone have a solution that doesn't require reinstalling 2.77.0 everytime I run Apple updates?
This is very fustrating... please help.

As best I can tell the error 004-350 is a firmware problem.
I tried to update firmware through the terminal on a Mac, and could not make it work.
I did as they said at tech support: reboot with a 45 second delay.
The problem came on shortly after installing new image drums.

I have a Xerox Phaser 5550 that I am trying to do a direct pdf print from application developed on java. I get an error "this printer is not configured to support direct PDF printing". Is this something that needs to be enabled? How would I enable this?

Since it's my first post, let me briefly introduce myself: i've bought a nice WC7655 from a company who bought the newest WC that superseded this one. Im fairly happy with it, the only real problem is that sometimes (not allways) the printer starts up with a "Communication failiure with USB-port", but when i power the printer off and back on she works just fine. I informed around regarding this error and an ex-Xerox tech told me this is most likely due to an order firmware, as he remembers a newer firmware that should solve this issue. He also told me that since i'm allready on version 040.033.50500 i can update this firmware mayself via the webinterface of the printer. Now here come's my question: does anyone have the new(er) firmware for this machine, as i cannot download it via the firmware updates download page of this printer type?
For you info: i'm an experienced IT-guy with +20 years of IT-labor so i'm used to updating, flashing, formatting, swearing and drinking lots of coffee :-p
In short: can anybody send me a newer firmware for this printer (WC 7655) to resolve the "communcation failiure with USB-port"-problem?

Running Windows 7 64 bit and Excel 2007 in a government network environment. When attempting to print a spreadsheet, I go to print preview, then attempt to go into page setup. This crashes Excel every time. I have uninstlled and reinstalled the printer on a local TCP/IP port using every driver I could find on the Xerox website. None of the drivers makes Excel stop crashing when attempting to use the page setup feature. I have installed and uninstalled it via the print server. If I change the default printer to ANY other printer on the network or installed locally, there is no problem going into page setup in Excel. I have used many suggestions from many different websites with no joy. Not sure what else to try. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
Did all the print quality troubleshooting eliminate light stripe and jet substitution. See the picture of light stripes tes page.

We have been using this printer since the first of this year and it has worked great. We have started to notice that the printer become unresponsive after sitting for several minutes. I dont mean Power saver mode type thing. All the buttons on the front do not work. The LCD Screen is on however its just stuck on the home screen. I can turn off the printer and turn it back on then the printer works untill it sits non active for a bit.
I have played with the power settings, i have reset the ram, I have tried settings on the print options. Reinstall the drivers and still No luck
We are using it on a network and like I said it will print. It just a full restart to get it to happen. Any tips or ideas we can try? Is the control board going out?
