Hi.
Recently acquired a digital printing press xerox 700 to join my collection of wide format printers. I am having a problem where I believe a light production finisher is leaving 2 embossed like marks accross the paper seems like from the roller. Is there any way to find out which one causes the problem and if so what should be done e.g pressure adjustment ?
I have attached 3 photos, one where I have added the green shade to show where the marks happen, second is a closeup, where marked with a pen and a third picture a back of paper see close under the shade near my hand is best I managed to catch the problem on the paper with a camera.
Photos in a folder below
Any ideas?
btw. Hope is ok to link pictures from another website as the quite MB heavy to upload here.
My Phaser 6250 started printing the first page ok, but then the 2nd page comes out early and overlapping the first page. It appears that the printer is picking up the first page and then picks up the 2nd page and tries to continue printing on it as if it is a longer sheet of paper. The 3rd page jams inside the printer either in tray two (partially taken up) or behind door A. The only time this doesn't happen is if page 2 jams instead of page 3. I can never print more than 1 page without having to clear the jams in tray 2 and door A (sometimes there isn't actually paper anywhere in the system).
I cleaned the registration assembly and sensor and also applied the patch from this post https://fixyourownprinter.com/posts/37997 but the problem didn't change.
When I print from trays 3 and 4, I have the same problem.
Sometimes when printing from tray 2, the tray is ejected. When printing from tray 3 or 4, the tray is usually ejected.
I believe that the paper pickup problem is sensor-related because it happens from all trays but I'm not sure what to check after the registration assembly.
I'm unsure if the tray ejection is related to the printing problem.
Dear all,
Has someone find a solution to the following problem.
I have several client computers with windows 10 pro x64 (creators update & anniversary edition), and I have 3 printers Xerox WorkCentre 7120. Also the client computers are joined to a Windows 2008 R2 domain controller and users with the default restrictions.
I have installed the Xerox Print Driver Installer driver with: Filename Setup.6.242.9.0_x64.exe Version 6.242.9.0 Date May 1, 2017 Size 5.6 MB.
When I am trying to print from Office Apps and our ERP app the printing task is failing and is never showed on the Xerox machine task display (info button). The strange thing is that the PDF documents are been printed normally when they are printed from PDF reader (PDFxchange free) and the task is showed in the machine display.
I have noticed that if I uninstall all the xerox printers and drivers, and install again the Xerox driver by adding printer and quering the printer for which driver to use via the IP address, windows is installing the Xerox WorkCentre 7120 V4 PCL6 and version 6.159.10.0. All the printings task are accomplished succesfully. My problem is that the working driver 6.159.10.0 is lack of printer options.
Any suggestion ?
I have a customer who needs to load a saved template for 8.5x11 folded booklets (saddle-stitched) - to which they can print variying files, but keep the booklet formatting. The end-users are not skilled and do not want to have to format booklets in the print driver every time they need to print. They just want to add the file, hit print and go. This will be on an AltaLink C8070.
The actual printing is fine -- clear and crisp. However, it has started to leave a pink/red think strip (about 1/4 inch) down the side of each page. HELP!
Thanks!
We are getting these defect lines that repeat every 1.9" from a Xerox WorkCentre 6605DN. The closest repeating defect in the support documentation is the Transfer Roller at 2.2". Are these lines from the transfer roller, or is it something else?
Hello,
I recently installed a Netgear Nighthawk R8000 router, and now I can't print to the WorkCentre 3210. I have successfully printed via USB since then. I can ping the printer and access it via CWIS, but it has yet to successfully complete and print job. When I try to print, it hangs for a moment and then prints several pages of error messages (if I allow it long enough, it might never quit).
I've installed, removed, rebooted, installed, etc. the driver many times.
The latest error was PCL6 ERROR - ui_idx = ui_len
My OS is: Windows 7 Professional, SP1
My printer info is:

Our 3600 went down with a paper jam, which I cleared.
Now when we try to print to it, it immediately feeds a couple of blank sheets and jams on the third. I can clear the jam (one sheet at the exit and one below the toner cartridge), but it immediately repeats.
Is there anything I can do to clear this up, or are we due for a visit from the repair guy?
Thanks!
Is there any way to bypass the "replace cartridge" message and continue using my black toner cartridge until I decide it's time? The print quality was just fine immediately prior to receiving this message and I would like to be able to continue to use the existing cartridge until I start to see a degradation in print quality.
We have a Versant 2100 printer, and always get an issue with printing low size text (8pt or lower) of lighter colours - it gets printed unclearly and unevenly on the edges, as if some parts of it weren't printed.
Next to it on the same print the 100% black, or any text with darker colours, looks alright, with sharp edges.
Examples of colours which get printed poorly:
1) b 70%
2) m 58%, y 100%
Doesn't seem to matter if blacks are composite or pure either, darker ones get printed alright, lighter ones poorly.
We are using Fiery, and in Job Properties->Image tab pretty much no settings did anything to improve this.
Text/graphics edge enhancement setting does absolutely nothing, no difference in print.
Print file is a PDF with text converted to vectors.
Hi, we here are with banner sheet problem, how we can generaly disable it ?
Where is guide for clear configuration of this device for the first time.

I have a xerox phaser 6125 that has printed less than 2000 pages in its lifetime.
When I moved from Sea Level to about 5000 Ft, I began to notice that some colors, mosty Reds and Yellows seem to flake off the page very easily.
Again this printer has printed less than 2000 pages. This problem seemed to start after moving to a higher altitude.
I see no settings in the printer for high altitude. It seems most ceratinly that the ink needs to "cook" on the page a little hotter or longer just as it takes longer to boil an egg. Oddly enough, I have many printers and all of the others have adjustments for high altitude and once adjusted worked flawlessly in the new location. Some other printers exhibited similar resuults in the higher altitude before making the adjustment.
I thought perhaps one of the resets might force redetection of altitude casing the fuser to behave differently?
Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone can tell me why there may be ink smudges on the bottoms of every print job? And is there a recommended way to fix it?
Thanks.
I found the following post. It describes what I am experiencing, but the solution is not what I want.
http://forum.support.xerox.com/t5/Printing/Driver-defaults-issues/m-p/203177#M14049
I don't want to prevent printing in color alltogether, or set a schedule when color can be printed. I want the driver on the computer to default to black and white.
We have shared the printer from our print server as two seperate printers. One with the driver set to black and white. One with the driver set to color. Some computers pulled the setting from the print server, while others didn't. What we noticed is that those computers that had the feature "Let Windows manage ym default printer" turned on ignored the server settings of black and white and set all printers to default color. We have since turned off this feature on all computers through the registry, but the printers are already installed and they are set to color. Without manually touching all the computers how can we set all the "Color" to black and white at the computer level not the printer.
Hello.
I have tried everything I can find to turn off the Banner Sheet from automatically printing on my new 7100N. My older unit does not use it. We do NOT want to have banner sheets.
How can I permanently disable this feature?
0094 Transfer Roll Failure
what can I do?
Hello everyone :)
I have a problem with a printing quality on my (new - bought at the end of march 2017) C60 (with Fiery EXC60 Colour Server) for a month now. The machine started to do vertical thin stripes on the images (mainly on darker areas, skin tones, etc). I think the main problem is with black and magenta (and maybe cyan too). I think only yellow looks all right. The service guys (I have signed Xerox FSMA with them) changed fuser, drums, transfert belt, charge corotron on black drum, they cleaned lasers, etc., but it didn't solve the problem. They said they really don't know what is going on.
Maybe anyone here could help, please?
Hi,
I have 2 of the 6250DP printers and for some reason they both have started to act strangely with the same problems.
I think it is the driver but can't seem to get to the point of what it is.
I have Win 10.
They are both working however every now and then this happens..
1. At start of printing get a whirring sound and then paper jam.
This is random and may be like for a while, then it is okay for a while. Once paper is cleared it usually works
2. At times we get a'Wrong Paper' in Tray 2. (meaning Letter not A4 etc) I onl;y use A4 never Letter
We have taken paper in/out of tray, taken tray out and inserted again, moved tabs in tray, changed paper.
Usually once we Cancel print and restart, this clears.
3. At times Black print is grey not black. Very light.
This may stay like this for a while but comes good but not sure why. Have tried on/off new toner, shake toner etc
Other colours are okay although every now and then they lose vibrancy or are a little off colour.
These are the stats for one of them. The other is much the same.
Total Sheets Printed: 14933
One-Sided Prints: 7539
Two-Sided Prints: 7394
Total Pages Printed: 21437
Black and White Pages: 2182
Color Pages: 18564
Imaging unit life remaining 85%
Fuser life remnaining 42%
Transfer Roller new
Toners average 70% full.
Operating system 5.4 PDL 4.11.0 Ram 256MB No Hard Drive Duplex Yes
Have tried Xerox Global Print Driver Dec 15 2016 5.469.9.0 and
6250DP PS VS 6.1.7234.0
Maybe these drivers demand Letter sized paper?
Win 10
Also is there a Diagnostic mode? I can get to each printer's Admin via the LAN but can't see anything there to help.
Any help appreciated. Before I get a techie in to pay him $200+ and still maybe not get results.
