Windows 7 Global Printer Driver Install Error

Hi upon receiving new Xerox C70 in our office, we were unable to install the Xerox Print Driver on one user's Window 7 Pro machine.

 

The install process appears to run to completion, but upon right clicking the Printer icon for Xerox C60/C70, one of the menu item says "Troubleshooting" and the user is to print anything with the C70 machine.  Selecting the troubleshooting icon does not provide any actionable information or steps to resolve.  Printer driver install worked fine on several other similarly configured PCs in the same office.

 

User is running a Windows 7 Professional x64  machine with 4GB memory.  The PC is to up to date with all Windows Service packs and patches.

Compatable vs. OEM toner problems?

I was wondering what types of problems could happen when using compatable or refuil kits rather than OEM toners?  COuld you ruin the drum? Hardware?

Phaser 7760DN Slow spooling/priniting Mac

Hi, wondering if anyone else is having issues with very slow processing/spooling. We had a 7750DN printer this one replaced, we still use it, and it prints the same files super quick. The new 7760DN just spools for soooo long, even on word documents and such. We even did the memory upgrade thinking that might be the problem, but no change.

 

By the way, we are a Mac based studio and all computers are up to date with all software including printing software directly from Xerox.

 

Any suggestions would be great...

Xerox 510 Controller HD

Our Xerox 510's orginal Dell controller hard drive died.  We are trying to replace it with a Dell 790 running windows 7 64 bit.  The original SCSI card has no Win 7 drivers, so we replaced it with a Adaptec 29160n and an adapter. The SCSI card does not see the printer on the buss.

Are there some SCSI settings that have to be set for that to happen? If so what are the recomeneded perameters settings?

Or do we have to get a card with a direct VHDCI interface?

6204 Wide Format - Dirty printout with lines

My Xerox 6204 Wide Format printer is printing out pages that look like this:

I don't know what is causing the black lines to appear. Are there any rollers that I can clean to fix this?

Phaser 7500DN Automatic Paper size selection doesn't work

We just got a Phaser 7500DN and have not yet added an additional tray. Tray 1 (MPT) is loaded with Letter (8.5x11") paper and Tray 2 has Tabloid (11x17") paper. Currently the only way to get it to print anything that I have tried to the tabloid size is to manually select Tray 2. It is set to automatically select the tray but it is not doing it. The printer settings are dectecting the correct paper size and it is showing the 2 sizes available yet it will only print from Tray 1 with the tray selection set to Automatic. Is there a fix for this?

Phaer 8850 error code 36,002.46:119281

Hi there,

 

Came in this morning sent a two page document to my Phaser 8860, one page printed out with two blanks that appeared to have fuser oil on them and there was a message with this error code 36,002.46:119281.  I did what every good techie does - reboot! Alas, no such luck. Google was no help with this particular error code either. 

 

What does this code mean? Thanks!

Slow First Page Out Spool on ConnectKey Devices

I just deployed 15 ConnectKey copiers to a few medical practices, I noticed that there is a good 4 second delay from then the job is sent from the users computer before the machine starts to print. They came from Ricoh copiers and this was never and issue.

 

The 5335's dont seem to have this issue, I did some searching, is this a port issue? RAW issue? SNMP issue? Spool issue?

 

Can anyone help?

CWW on Server 2012 R2 connectivity problem

We've recently upgraded infrastructure and OS here and I've attempted to install the new version of CWW (5.12) on our new print server (Server 2012R2). It loads and can reach the printers but won't connect to SMart eSolutions. I get this error in the Transaction Log:

and in the application event log, this error shows up twice every time I poll:

Phaser 6125 printing in grey

Hi there,

My phaser 6125 is printing in grey rather than black. I've tried the following:

- replace the cartridge
- run all the admin tests through the menu, refresh the drum etc etc
- cleaned the housing for the cartridge
- cleaned the housing once you remove the phaser unit
- entered the service menu and ran all the diags and tests in there

No joy with any of that. Anyone got any further ideas?

I like the printer so loathed to throw it out the window but getting very close.

All help or suggestions are very welcome.

Phaser 7750 offline

My phaser 7750 went offline some days ago and refuses to return online. I have reinstalled the driver, changed the USB cable, applied some diagnostic programmes (such as FIXIT) and all say that the printer is OK. I have tried to print from another PC, have tried a suggestion to reconfigure the printer port (however, this appeared not possible) and read an endless number of posts that could be relevant, all to no avail. However, if I press "Printerstatus" on the printer itself, it prints the status nicely and as normal. The printer identifies itself as Phaser 7750DN and I work with Windows 7. Xerox Support cannot help me because I have no maintenace contract. However, I use the printer for limited private purposes and a maintenance contract is far beyond a rational solution. As I have exhausted my imagination on what could possibly cause this problem, I post it on this forum.

Are There Margin or Bleed Settings on ConnectKey Devices?

 

Users reporting when faxes come out, there is a margin border that blocks out some information from the sender.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

How do you recover a Phaser 8560 after a bad firmware update?

Apparently the people that were doing a firmware update to a Phaser 8560 didn't wait long enough before rebooting it so now the unit is bricked.  Front panel has nothing on the LCD and just a red light to the right of that

 

The network adapter is pingable but that is it.  FTP is an instant disconnect and the Web server times out.

 

I tried uploading the firmware with the Xerox tool via a USB cable and the file went in to the printer but the printer didn't do anything with it. It still just sits there with the LCD blank, red light on and fans whiring.

print properties showing generic drivers instead of actual printer drivers

Hi,

I am from India XRCI IT Support. Few of our users are finding themselves only able to print Single sided, and unable to edit the preferences.

printer installed on server is WC 7845 

 

Users are supposed to get a window like this when they click Printer Preferences:

but Some users  see a window like this instead:

It wil be greatefull if some one can help in addresing this issue.

We are all using the same version of Windows 7. and Printer Drivers are installed on Windows 2008 R2.  What causes users to get one window instead of the other?

Phaser 7500 Doesn't recognize that Tabloid and 11x17 are the same size

This seems to be a flaw in the driver, but I've noticed that when printing to "11x17" not specified as "Tabloid" we get a "Paper Not Available" message even though it is loaded. If we specify "Tabloid" it will print fine. It should equate that these are exactly the same paper size. This a big issue because the PDF software, both Adobe and Bluebeam both specify the size as "11x17" when they print.

D125 Scan Folder Destination

Xerox D125 printer. Our server that holds all our files went ka-put from a storm. We have a new destination folder for when we scan and save over the network, and I know the path/IP address and credentials to assign the new path, but I cannot find where to change the destination folder. I can access admin settings.

 

Can anyone tell me where the settings are to change the destination folder? It would save making a service call.

Xerox Phaser 7500 Print Quality Issues (streaks) See Photo

Our Phaser 7500 is printing streaks when toner is light (heavy toner doesn't seem to be an issue)

 

If we print a low percentage of black - IE: 5%-20% black AKA: Gray - we get streaks.See sample image.

 

I thought the issue was the imaging unit, so I swapped out the BLACK with each of the other units (putting CYAN in BLACK slot, then printing, doing the same with yellow and magenta).

 

The attached photo shows each of the imaging units in the BLACK slot, printing the same page which is 10% black.


The 'streaks' all appear in the same location regardless of the imaing unit.

 

NOTE: We used the cleaning rods on all four imaging units

 

NOTE: I also ran the "REMOVE PRINT SMEARS" option at the printer control panel.

 

Any suggestions or ideas are welcome. Thank you!

Phaser 6121 driver

I see the latest driver for Phaser 6121, and the description says that the driver is for :

"Print driver installer for the Phaser 6121MFP and Phaser 6121MFP-S. This software supports Mac OS 10.6, 10.7, 10.8, 10.9 and 10.10"

But when i try to install it, the installer don't recognize an hard disk to install ....

My system is Os X 10.9.5

Any suggestion?
