I have a Workcentre 4150 /XF with 40 GB hard drive.
It is very slow when printing. It takes hours to print
just a 50 page document.

What could be the problem? Will it help if I reformat
the printer hard drive fresh to FAT32 with an IDE to USB adapter?

Will I need to install any thing on the hard drive after formatting?

The printer has a Hitachi 40GB hard drive. I also have
a Samsung 40GB hard drive which came off another Workcentre 4150 /X.

Also, the printer has 256MB RAM. According, to specs it can take upto 384MB

RAM. The RAM slot on the side is already occupied with 256MB stick. Where

can I put the additional RAM stick?

I have a Xerox Phaser 6110 Network laser printer. I doesn't work anymore.

When I start the printer, it shows theese red light message:

- The main light is red, not blinking but stable.

- The light for the blue cartridge is stable red.

- The light for the magenta cartridge is stable red.

- The light for the yellow cartridge is blinking red.

- The light for the black cartridge is off.

Does anyone know what this error message means?

The trash cartridge is empty.

I have installed the automatic driver installation within OSX but do not have A3 (for example) as papersize, only some A4 options. Is tehre a way to add the paper sizes that get added when installing the drivers for the printer in previous OSX versions? Is there maybe a beta driver for the 7760 for Yosemite?

the paper prints out with smudge at one side,

i'm attachig 2 files. one was printed short edge feed and one was printed long edge feed.

i've changed around the drums and it didn't help. any suggestions what the problem could be?

the rest is perfectly fine. on the scan it dos't look so, but it is its only one side that i have the problem.

Hi everyone, hoping to get some insight on how to fix this issue:

When printing to a Xerox ColorQube 9300 from any 10.9 Mac, the print job just sits in the queue and takes 5-10min to actually get sent to the printer. We use Windows 2008 R2 print servers, so the Xeox is installed using the LPD method. The job is being slowed on the OS X side.

What I've found during troubleshooting:

1. Only happening with any version of 10.9 (10.9-10.9.5)

2. Any of the 10.9 compatible Xerox drivers

3. Even a simple "Hello" txt doc will have this issue.

4. IPP and direct IP socket printing is fine.

5. Using the "generic postscript" driver is fine (but no color)

6. If you look at the cups queue during printing, you see many little 1Kb jobs being generated for that printer on the client. Those will continue to be generated even if you cancel the print job.

7. OS X 10.10 Yosemite does NOT have this issue.

I have tried everything I can think of. Any ideas would be greatly appreicated!

I love this printer but just got my first 'Black Low - replace soon' message. No problem, I ordered a replacement cartridge which will be here tomorrow.

Why won't anything print now? It says "Ready black low" and I would think that low doesn't mean empty. How can I continue to print between now and tomorrow?

I have a PDF file that I wish to print out as a booklet using a 7800 work station with a Professional Finisher attached.

Everytime I try to print the booklet instead of a four page stapled booklet, I get a single page with pages 1,8,4, and 5 printed on one side and pages 2, 7, 6 and 3 printed on the opposite side.

I know the finisher is able to print the booklet, but I must be missing a step somewhere.

Anyone got a suggestion?

I am trying to have a planner I made in pdf print in booklet form. The issue is when I load the Cover stock it jams every time. If I just use regular paper it will print fold and staple no problems. Any suggestions??

I am printing a planner with booklet fold and staple, but the machine is only putting in one staple instead of two or three. It will saddle stich with three or four no problem, is there a setting I am missing? I am using B4 paper. Thanks in advance.

Phaser is throwing that error after printing about 25 pages. No other faults are listed aside from a 075-100 jam error.

The unit has 590 pages on counter.

I have a macbook with Mac OS X 10.10 that is no longer printing to the xerox phaser 7760gx, I can print a test page but nothing else. Latest drivers are installed & this laptop was able to print to this printer before. I will attack the error log. thanks in advance

What's my first step to eliminate banding?

I'm looking to see if this is possible. When printing large print jobs with multiple sections I would like the photocopier to be able to staple after every section. Each section is a set number of pages (5) so is it possible to tell the photocopier to print the job and staple every five pages together?

We own two Phaser 7800GX printer. As clients we use Macs with 10.9 & 10.10. Printing A4 from paper feed 1 - 4 works perfectly - also with user definied paper formats. Printing from paper feed 5 (A3) won't work:

- In e. g. Word, paper size is set to A3

- In print dialogue under Xerox features I choose material: Other colour: White; Other type: Plain & paper size A3

When I check the paper configuration via web interface, I have configured: Other type: Plain; Other colour: White. When I start now a print job, I get always the error message, that an other kind of paper is needed: Other type: Plan, other colour: User definied 1.

As print driver we use the actual version 3.43.0(1429). Both OS have the latest updates installed.

Has anyone an idea what could be wrong?

My company wants specific color palettes for oiur logal and it needs to be setup on our workcentre 7835. I have gone into the color managent and can see all of the diferent profiles and how to import them. My question is how to I create the custom profiles for the color palette my company wants for the logo's We also use PrintLogic for our print sever.

I am currently experiencing problems with my xerox phaser 7400. Each time I print something out of adobe reader xi 11 part of the text comes out double, like if had a shade. I am running windows 7 64 bits. I tried installing Postscript and PCL5 drivers but no luck. I was considering the possibility of a firmware update?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

We just got a XEROX WorkCentre 7225 which we really like and everything works great except for one thing. When users print from their computers I want black and white to be the default and for it to prompt them for an ID and password when printing color. I don’t want to be spoon fed the answer here but if someone can point me in the right direction that would be great. Everything I have tried so far has not worked. Thanks for the help.

We have a Phaser 6280 color laser that we have been happy with for a couple of years now. About 2-3 weeks ago we started to get periodic 'Jam at Tray 2" errors. I would simply open the tray, open the door and every thing would continue to work great. A couple of days ago we received the error again ... only now nothing clears it. Every single time we try to print we receive an error at tray 2. We are using 20 lb paper, and I have thoroughly inspected inside the machine and see no paper remnants, etc. It appears the machine is trying to pull the paper in as the top sheet in tray 2 will have 2 small smudges on it. The MPT tray works perfectly, but is a pain for day to day use.

Is it possible to replace the rollers that grab the paper out of tray 2 as that seems to be the issue?
