Looking for a printer to print on paper, cardstock, varied weights and textures. Recommendations?
Hi there,
I'm starting up a small business where I hope to sell prints I've designed, amongst other things. I'm a Graphic Designer by trade so have worked a lot with print companies, and they have always suited my needs as the print cost goes to the client. However, for my print business it is proving too expensive to get started up with all of the designs I'd like to include in my collection (quite a lot, and more coming by the day!). So I'd love to be able to print to order, instead of having to order a larger amount to try and get the most of my money and having lots left over of designs that may prove to be less popular.
My prints are fairly simple, a lot of block colour that needs to remain consistent and not blotchy.
So at the moment I'm printing on 300gsm textured card, which I love and would like to be able to continue doing. But I would also like to have the option of printing flyers etc for the business too, which would likely be on recycled cardstock, maybe 140 - 160 gsm.
There will obviously be more variants, but these are the main 2. Could anyone recommend a precise and high quality printer that I could rely on to do the job for me? Appreciate that it will cost a fair chunk, but looking at a good place to start?

No Color Printing , No Color Coping
Hi everyone
i had an issue with xerox color c70 that no color output at all ,whether coping or printing .
i attached below the color calibration print out and you can see that C is a bit visibale but M & Y are totally invisible , no problem with Black .
new drums hase been changed , new toners , new belt
anyway i try to made a paper jam and check the belt ,i can see the color on it
any advice

Paper is waving
Hi !
I've troubles with my VersaLink, the paper is waving quite a lot.
I've tried several papers (brand, 80->160g) and print settings without success.
A Xerox technician as spend 4h on my printer without been able to fix the issue (even changed the fusion module).
Today my printer as been exchanged by a brand new one, and the paper is still waving....
Any idea what's wrong ?
Do you encounter the same issue on your printers ?
I'm using PS drivers V 5.658.3
Same issue in PCL or if I print info sheet directlly from the printer, so probably not a driver issue.
Any help appreciated.

WC 7855 connection USB wire or network wire is no working
Dear,
please somebody can help me. Try to connect my laptop with the workcentre 7855, but the laptop do not recognize the workcenter as a printer. Also to buld a directly network connecting was not possible. I tried the drivers from the xerox website but it doesnt work with that. The lapotp dont find the printer...is there a way that I have first to activate using the USB port in the workcentre? Maybe somebody have a step by step instruction for me?

Setting up wireless for a hidden network
Customer has a hidden network that requires entry of the SSID and Password. The Hidden Network does not come up on the WiFi setup for the device. Is it possible to connect to a hidden network using the wireless card on the C405? Thanks

The Dark side of Versant 2nd BTR
Our Versant 2100 is printing lines/marks when using duplex print. This happens because the 2nd BTR can't clean the waste/extra toner before printing the other side. It's far worse on coated paper than uncoated paper.
We are currently switching between 2nd BTR's. We use one 2nd BTR for coated paper and another one for uncoated paper. For coated paper we're using Xerox Colour Impressions Silk and the 2nd BTR only lasts for about 10K impressions. Coated paper is too sensitive for the 2nd BTR roller. The 2nd BTR roller is made of soft rubber/plastic and appears to be pretty weak/fragile as lines/marks appear on the roller after a few uses. Other printers usually don't have problems like this. Fx. Xerox C75. They use softer 2nd BTR rollers that don't get damaged like the ones on the Versant series.
This states that the Versant printers have a huge production fault with 2nd BTR's. Because they basically can't print on coated paper. Xerox must produce a new version of the 2nd BTR's because the Versant machines clearly aren't working as they should be.
Does anyone know if a new type of 2nd BTR is in the making or on the market?

Secure Print Naming Issues
We have some new Altalink C (and B) 8000 series Xerox's. Users on MacOS are seeing secure print issues, where the secure print job, on the Xerox, is displaying as Unidentified. Users have to tap on each secure print job and try to unlock the job to see who's job is who's.
This only is happening with print jobs from Google apps, (Gmail, Sheets etc..)
The Secure Print Device Policy on the Xerox's is set to "Show All Job Names"

bars on tail end of sheet about 1 and a half inches in.
Printing 2 sided 13x19 or 12 x18 sheet cover stock i am getting a bar or addition on the tail end of the sheet. Is there an adjustment I can make some where to make this go away?

Blue tint in back ground while printing.
I am running a Xerox 1000 and about 7 days ago i got an fault message 92-314. About that time is when all my prints started having a blue tint in the back ground and the last 3 days its been getting worse. The Xerox Tech has tried replacing all that he thinks he could that goes with that problem. It starts out light blue tint but as it is printing it gets. That fault happened 3 times.
If anyone has had this problem sure could use some help.

How to enable CORS

I'm developing a google chrome extension using npm ipp, I'm able to connect to some printers and retrieve it's attributes as well as send print jobs to them.
The problem with the XEROX Versalink C405 is that whenever I try to retrieve the printer attributes I'm getting a 406 (Not Acceptable) error. However, I'm able to retrieve the printer attributes and send a print job just fine if I run my nodejs script from the MacOS console... I wonder what's this about, the response header has this:
Upgrade:
TLS/1.2, HTTP/1.1
So if I just enable TLS/1.2 in the printer I get 406 Not Acceptable when I request the https url. This is the complete response header:

AltaLink prints weird pages by itself - unknown user
Hey there,
we've got a weird phenomenon on some AltaLinks. From time to time it starts printing by itself. In the printed jobs it is shown as unknown - unknown an deleted (see attached picture).
The pages most of the time look like it's shown in the attached pictures below.
My favorite was a blank page with just HELP written on it. May some is prisoned in there and trys to get out. :)
Has anyone an idea, where these pages come from and how I can stop this?

116-703 Error for versalink C7030
Hello,
Since last week we got a problem: our versalink c7030 (through cups 2.2.7, postscript 3 version 3018.103) cannot print some of the pdf and odp files (opened by libreoffice), and it keeps telling us a 116-703 error. I already checked the existed solution but only printing in image works. (there's no reset to factory defaults opinion on this printer and the PCL driver only can works in black&white)
But since we cannot always transfer massive pdfs into images, I wonder what exactly is this error and whether we have a real solution can solve this pb totally.

I can't update the drivers anymore. during installation it does not let me go ahead and install on hd. (printer xerox coloqube 9203 driver is locked to version 3.113.0 and I can't install the new 4.14.0) do you have any solution? thanks so much.
