Phaser 6500 will only print corretly on 8x10

Hi everyone!  Newbie here!

I just purchased a 6500 to print birthday invitations and am having some issues. 

 

I'm trying to print on 5x7 or 10x7, i've used the tray and the manual feeder.  The alignment is off, the printer believes I'm printing everything on 8x10.  I've specified paper size in my software but still nothing.  I've tried printing from different softwares, PSE11, Adobe.  I have Windows 8 and a MAC.

 

Any help is highly appreciated!

I am reviving a N2825 laser printer that has sat dorment for several years.  I get Toner low message, six horizontal line on printer output which may be due to the toner.

 

I down loaded and installed the latest printer driver.

 

My main  problem is I cannot print from the Bypass tray.  I set the print settings to Bypass tray, Tabloid (11x17) paper but the printer aways select Tray 1,  the print page is sized correctly to a 11x17 sheet but is printed on a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet.  What am i doing wrong?

Workcentre 7545 "Network Connection Error" but still prints

Our Workcentre was serviced about a week ago and after that we have been getting a "Network Connection Error" when printing but the 7545 still prints the job.

 

 

Also, when printing double sided it also prints some pages double-sided and some single sided, which may be an unrelated issue.

 

Wondering if anyone is having similar issues.

Hi Xerox Customers,

I am working with Xerox Solid Ink Printers since like 2001 Year from now, I started with the Panzer-Build Xerox Phaser 860

and now I own two 8870 units for daily basis printing.

 

My most recent addition, 8870 infact, I had set up, upgraded RAM to 2x 1024MB and change the language to German and various setting. The unit is just printed 30 Pages and all but one of these pages where status, ink nozzle check and configuration pages.

 

Now yesterday I was printing some invoices for my tax accountant, the Printer was in "standby" mode due automatic idleing.

The print engine started to make its typical "wake" up noise and the fan started blowing and suddenly the screen went fully black and the machine restarted itself.


I was a little worried at this point. Machine booted itself just like a "cold" reboot with the cleaning procedure (which of curse waste a amount of ink due to purging) and at about 15% Warmup / Cleaning I was confronted with the Error message :

Error 91,720,00:30

 

30 stands for the pages printed

At this point the printed was ONLY filled with starter blocks that have the "small" shape of 8570 Blocks.

 

And the error itself 91,720 indicates a Print Head Tilt error but after some research I found various attempt to resolve this matter

  1. Power OFF the Printer and Contact Support for Assistance

"I suggest you look for ink spills or obstructions around the printhead, and try to remove as much as possibe, also reboot the printer."

 

I looked with a small flashlight, but since I never added any additional Ink there was obviously no obstruction at all.

 

I did Power it up two times to check if the error message sort it self out by itself, and I did wait 20~40 Min betwen power cycling but it still showed the error at about 15% warm up. Not even the blank cleaning sheet was pushed tru the printer as I am used to.

 

Hm.. I literaly used the machine for like 2 Hours and it gave me this bad look, Y U doing this colorqube?

 

Whatever, time to contact some one: I tried to ring my merchant, but I only got to hotline and in contact with an UserHelpDesk agent, she was friendly but this matter was clearly for 2nd Level and not her expertise.

She created a service ticket, but I was unhappy, maybe 2nd Level will get back to me in 48 Hours...

I couldn't wait and I called the TOLL FREE Service Hotline for german Customers

 

I stated the Serial No of my machine to the hotline "robot" and I was patched tru to an very ressourcefull Xerox Hotline Agent, I forgot her name, but she had an either polish or bulgarian german accent, (my guess hotline is outsourced somewhere there)

 

I told her exactly what happend
 and I told her I that am using Xerox Solid Ink printers since ages.

 

The printer, since I was just recently purchased, was not showing in the "system" yet. She told me I should connact my retailer for that matter, he could push the completion to register my printer. Before a completed registration the printer wouldn't be covered by its 1 year warranty. Okay, thats not good.

BUT she told me to try something:

 

Secret button combination to boot the printer into "service" Mode or something

Select Reset Error Log

Reboot the machine? Yes

She told me now to be patient and that she would call me up right again within an hour.

 

Wow, 1min action.

the printer then rebooted for like 45 min showing the Error again and again but it keept rebooting, since the Error Log will be deleted upon rebooting.

After a fresh cup of coffee and further 10min suddenly the printer was all good and printing the Test-pages and configuration pages.

 

Now yesterday after these simply "repair" steps I printed over 2.000 Pages for various customers and my tax accountant. Refilled all ink slots with one "Europe" Coded ink block (I live in germany duh) and its all fine

Workcentre 7335: unable to print A3 (Tray #3 / Tray #4) using OSX Mavericks

Hi all,

 

We have a Workcenter 7335 and we just can't print A3 pages. I don't know if trays are all equal, but in our company, A3 unused pages are positioned on tray #3 and tray #4.

 

We are using OSX and we have downloaded and installed the latest drivers available (XeroxPrintDriver.3.16.0_1313)

 

When we try to print we select the following options:

 

Page Setup (window) -> Paper size = A3

Print (Window) -> Paper feed -> All pages from: Tray 3

 

Note: We were able to print A3 pages while using Windows....

 

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have a plain phaser 8860 printer and get a printer error message almost immediately after adding solid ink.  The code is 09,037.45:123503.  I can find no information on the error so any information you can provide is appreciated!!!


Xerox Colorqube 8570 won't power up

Hello. I own a Xerox Colorqube solid ink printer. Two months ago, my warranty time expired, so that's why I post my issue this way.

 

I was printing as usual, when an error "10,550.00:12476" appeared. After that, the machine seemed to hang, no button could return the printer to another state.  This is te meaning of 10,550 error: Drum stall:

The fault code apparently means a paper problem, a rare situation, because the last one was thinner than the maximum. So, I decided to power off with the rear power button (I / O), i.e. manual power-off. The printer stopped working and won't start after trying to power it on. Waited an hour, a day, changed the source of power. Nothing worked.

I called official Xerox support and they said the only solution to that is to change the entire power supply. The price of that replacement is even higher than the printer one, seems like a joke.

 

I made a technician check the power supply and said nothing seems visually damaged. He tested almost every output and found no power in them, except some AC high voltages outputs near the TICs.

 

In every similar post I found, the only solution offered is to change the power supply, which includes almost all the logic of the printer. There has to be a workaround, at least an explanation to this, like a protective shutdown of the system, like car computers do.

Xerox 3550: document feeder not feed paper

We have a Xerox WorkCentre 3550 and is quite new (26000 impressions). The document Feeder (60 sheets) doesn't feed papers well. We have to push papers by hand into very depth before the feeder can catch and move papers.

Please help on how to fix this issue. Any instruction, suggestions or documents are welcome. If We have to replace any parts, please also advise where we can find the parts.

Colorqube 8570 printing pure black

I'm using Photoshop to print from (as opposed to the printer doing the color management) and I can't figure out how to get the printer to use pure black instead of composite black. Does anyone know how to force the printer to use pure black? In advanced properties I can choose pure black, but that only seems to work if the printer is doing the color management. My blacks are purple when I print color and I REALLY need pure black. HELP! Thanks for any suggestions and have a great day.

phaser 6280 processing port 9100

Our phaser 6280n is networked thru IP4 address to about 15 users. We had this printer for 1 year and half. We now get (not error) processing port 9100,,,, The printer is flashing ready with processing port 9100,,, (no error number?)  Only fix to this problem is hit cancel several times.

 

But this is holding up our business.

 

We do get the message replace fuser soon (85,000 sheets) This should not be the problem?

WorkCenter 7435 Will not choose correct tray

I have had this machine for several months with no problems. Over the long weekend we turned everything off and when we came back today it has been driving me crazy.

 

I have a certain type of paper on tray 4 for a particular print job. On Friday I printed numerous copies from this tray with no problems at all.

 

Now it keeps trying to pull from empty trays. It refused to pull from tray 4. When ever I send the same file to print it wants to pull from any tray but tray 4.

 

Even in the driver I set tray 4 and when I go back to the machine it says it can't print the job because tray 3 and tray 5 don't have paper in them.

 

What the heck is going on???? I deleted the driver and reinstalled it but nothing is working.

 

I have a windows 7 system and am printing from Publisher. But this is the exact same system that I printed perfectly on Friday. Nothing has changed,

 

Any help appreciated as I am way behind on a deadline.

OK OK OK I found the problem!!! The printer was trying to print the banner from tray 3. So even though I was telling it to print from tray 4 it was trying to pull a page from 3 first to print the banner. The funny thing is I went into the control panel and told it to NOT print the banner but it keeps right on printing it. Now I have to find out why I can turn the banner off

 

Any help with this will be aprreciated

Got us a 3250 that is giving us a red light (solid)

 

we've replaced the toner

cleaned every nook and craney we can without dissassembling the printer to it's bare bones.

still no luck.

 

the web app says "Stop Printing, Service Requested"

Any ideas?

Xerox 3635 ask on demand overwrite

We have xerox 3635 MFP in office.  It prompt messenge " immediate job overwrite failed please perform an on demand overwrite immediately", I just did on demand overwrite 2 days ago, it spent 5 hrs to finish.

This Xerox 3635 will have this meesenge once a month at least, waste time to do overwrite. I want to find out the reason what causes the messenge.

 

What's the reason xerox 3635 prompt messenge to do an on demand overwrite?

Any help is appreciated.

Windows 8.1 can't print to a Xerox WorkCentre 7655 over the network

I have two new computers in my office. These new computers have Windows 8.1 OS and can no longer print to the WorkCentre 7655 over the network like the previous computers did. It gives me an error message saying invalid accounting IDs; however, we only have one accounting ID and it is saved in our settings correctly. Any other ideas will be appreciated
