I... inherited... a Xerox WorkCentre 7345, with the Office Finisher (coallates, staples, and punches holes) attached. Every time I try to print or copy, the paper gets stuck halfway thru the fuser. The printer tells me to clear the jam in Area 1. Once cleared, the printer will retry the print, only to get stuck at the same place.The paper doesn't appear crinkled or wrinkled before I remove it. It appears to me that the rollers above the fuser aren't pulling the paper through to the output tray. There is a partially printed image on the paper when I remove it, so the imaging part of the printer is probably just fine. I have tried letter and legal sizes, with the same result.
I have not pulled any error codes. I suspect that either there is a fault with the fuser, or that the rollers above the fuser aren't being engaged or are too worn to pull the paper through to the output tray. Would like to confirm my daignosis before spending money and throwing parts at the problem.
This is a leave-behind in an office space. I have no personal use for it, but have tentatively found it a new home at a nearby private school, provided I can repair it. I have fairly extensive mechanical and electrical repair experience, including several HP laser printers. Please help me keep this out of a landfill and help a school at the same time.
