unable to connec to smtp server

Dear reader,

 

I'm currently trying to setup scan to mail for my xerox 6605n printer, but I don't seem to get it quite right.

 

At the moment i have these settings(we are working with offce365) :

 

FROM email: printer@"companyname".nl

SMTP server: "companyname"-nl.mail.protection.outlook.com

SMTP port: 25 

 

we also tried this with office365 mail adress and port 587 but that doesnt work either.

 

Lastly we have authencation type: SMPT AUTO
SMTP login name: the adress off the main user at this place (me, so just my email adress from the same server)

SMTP Password: everytime i try to change this is says it cant be applyed, and its stuck at a set password with a lenght of 4.

 

 

 

I hope someone could help me.

Versant 80 throwing error code 012-299

I have asked many people including my xerox rep about this and have yet to find an answer to my problem! The Error code i'm getting is 012-299 and when i search for it on the xerox website it isnt listed for my machine. I have a finisher with a booklet maker that does half fold and booklet folds ONLY. I am randomly getting the code when Im NOT using the booklet maker and printing a lot of copies (roughly 700+). I have to completely shut down the machine and reboot it to clear the code. Thank you in advance for your help!

Workcentre 7232 and mac

Hello everybody!

 

I have the following problem with my Workcentre 7232. I have the standard firmware (Controller ROM Version 1.207.5) on my Workcentre and it works with my Windows computers very well. But now, my girlfriend bought a new MacBook and I get a default message when I try to print with this Mac. I installed the newest mac driver from the Xerox homepage. An updade of the printer firmware from the standard version to the PS version wasn´t possible. 

Does anybody know how i can get the mac to print on the wc 7232 or is it not possible?

Phaser 7760X - Blurry on parts of printing

Images attached -- scan of page printed (unable to scan color, sorry); side by side of the blurriness that occurs along with what the original PDF looks like.

 

Our printer is printing blurry bars on all sizes of paper. You can see that the text/words are not affected by the problem. Only "bars" -- like on bar graphs -- are affected. It does this on any bar graph document we throw at it, and the result is the same, regardless of the location of the bars on the page.

 

We have tried several of the troubleshooting guides on the printer and there has been no change. There are not any "warnings" about things that need to be done (toner low, imaging unit, etc).

How do I "Restart Printer" -- Xerox 6500N

When trying to obtain the IP Address, using the Panel, I get to the point where it says to "Restart Printer." I have been flipping the toggle switch to power off the printer and then powering it back on. Is this the right way to "Restart Printer"? I'm not yet that familiar with the 6500.

Unable to print to Phaser 6500N from iPhone or iPad

I am running Apple Sierra and can print from my MacBook Pro, but not from my IOS devices. And when I try to find the IP address of the Xerox Phaser 6500N from the Control Panel it either tells me that it is obtaining the address or it shows an address of 000.000.000.000 * -- Also when I use FING to show the IP addresses of all my devices, the printer doesn't show up at all.

The printer is connected to a port on the ORBI route.

WC7970 Jobs Disappearing from Queue/Crash - Overloaded or Firmware Glitch?

We are having an issue with our WC7970 where jobs are disappearing from the queue.

It seems like the root of the problem starts when someone sends a large file (page size 24x36) to be printed on 11x17. Everything in the queue is put on hold while the large file is "processing" at the machine. Eventually, the job queue becomes empty and the job queue on the computer is showing all of the jobs as "completed". However nothing has printed.

I tried rebooting the machine and some of the jobs started printing at start up but the screen immediately showed an error message to reboot. After rebooting again the same message popped up.

 

I put in request for service but I wanted to see if anyone else may have any ideas as to what could be causing this?

 

PS. I realize the software is not the most up to date version. I had a tech in earlier in the month for the same issue. He had reinstalled the same firmware version that was previously running on the machine hoping that the clone file would not carry over the same defect...

 

I am trying to determine if the machine is just overloaded and cannot handle the volume or if there is a software issue.


Embedded Letterhead

Hello

We are working with several WorkCentre 7845 printers. We have different company labels with different Letterheads.We want to get rid of expensive preprinted letterhead paper.

 

Is it possible to load a Letterhead PDF file (or other format) into the printer/printerserver, so you can choose one of the company letterheads within the printer driver? Or are there other solutions to accomplish that?

Issue with Phaser 8560 MFP showing Offline in Windows 10

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 Enterprise 64 bit and my 8560 MFP is now showing Offline. It is connected to one computer only through the USB cable and then shared from that computers with others in my home through the the network. 

 

I have done a number of things trying to resolve this issue, including installing new driver from Xerox's site designated specifically for this model for Windows 10 -64. Additionally, Xerox tech support has spent time with me only to get the same issues I got. After being unable to resolve this either they suggested I post on this Forum to see if any one knows how to fix this. Belows is a history of the steps I have taken with images from the computer as to what it shows at each step.

 

If I remove the printer from Devices and Printers, Windows immediately reinstalls it on reboot, however the message when I hover over it show a Status of "Needs Trouble Shooting and Driver is unavailable (see image 1 below). Running the trouble shooter does not fix anything.

If I check the Device Manager, under "other Devices" it shows a scanner and the XeroxPhaser 8560. When I search for the driver for the scanner, it says Windows could not find driver software for this device (see image 3 under image 2 below) and when I try to install the driver for the printer it says Windows encounter a problem install the printer's driver (see image 2 below).

I then use the Remove Device from the Devices and Printers, and while it does appear to remove the device (the printer icon disappears), I got an alert message that says "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer and to contact system administrator" (which I was already logged in as - see image 5 below).

I then download the drivers for this printer from Xerox's web site (see driver package selected in image 6 below).

When I run this Driver Installer it cannot find any printers (see image 7 below). Similarly, if I use the Devices and Printer to find a new Printer it finds no devices as well (see image 8 under 7 below).

I then unplug the USB cable for the printer and plug it in again and it automatically shows up again as a Printer in the Devices and Printers with the same Status notices as shown in image 1 (see image 9 below).

I next run the Xerox Driver Installer software again and it does find the Printer and I can clcik to install it (see image 11 below).

However when I attempt to install it I get an Installation failed message (see image 12 below).

I am absolutely stumped on this. To me is acts as if  there is some corrupt driver in Windows 10 for this printer that is blocking a correct installation of this printer and unfortunately I do not know how to clear it all out and start with a fresh driver install. 

 

Any help would be most appreciated because the printer is worthless to me if I can't get it working with my computer.

please help me, i have work centre 5330 and when i install it on windows 10  and try to print it gives me an error informes me that tray 5 is empty and i tried many drivers to solve this issue but nothing has worked.

 

note that i connect it through a switch and i gave it an ip 192.168.1.122 and my PC in the same range of it and i can ping it .

 

 

 

please i need a solution

Xerox WorkCentre 6515DN - ipp URI?

Hi, I recently purchased a Xerox WorkCentre 6515DN multi function printer.

The printer documentation claims support for the IPP protocoll.

 

For use in my Linux SUSE Leap 42.2, I want to access the printer with IPP.

Unfortunately, I could not find a description of the needed IPP URI in the documentation (something like http://<ip>:<port>/<..>)

I did also not find a printer description file .ppd, which would allow me to use the Workcenter like my old Samsung multi function printer simply as a postscript printer via LAN without the need of a specific driver.

I started the install process

Got to the Install location screen

Install button greyed out

I clicked the Change location and clicked the drive my Mac os is on

No change

Anybody got any ideas

error message 075-451 in work center 5330 please help

this the second time i write here and everyone see my problem without giving me any solution, i need help in this issue, in my work i have workcenter 5330 and our pcs has windows 10 and when i try to print the printer give an error message 075-451 Tray 5 is empty, although there is no tray 5 and i tried different drivers but the problem still the same......

please it's a critical issue for me and our work is stuck.....

 

 

I don't own ANY Xerox equipment...

Even though I have NO XEROX equipment in my house, a file called 

Nscsysui_xerox.exe

continually tries to load itself onto my Windows 10 laptop every time I re-boot.

 

Any idea WHY?

WC7970 - Jobs Sent secure print are not held

Background:

 

Server : WIndows server 2012 X64 R2

Clients: Windows 7 X64 Enterprise SP1 and Windows 10

Driver Version: Xerox GPD PS V3.7.469.10.8

Printer Model: WC 7970 and WC C60

Server Settings:

      Secure print: Secure Print Only

       Printing Defaults: Xerox Black and White Conversion (Checked)

 

Issues:

 

 - When a secure print job is sent to the printer the job will print out without being held. The same user and PC is able to print to another printer of the same model and driver from the same print server and the job is held securely.

 

 - The printer the user from above was having an issue printing securly to, another user with same eaxct setup sends a print job to the printer which is held securely.

 

We are also seing that when jobs are sent to be printed in color, they come out in black and white. While some users experience this on the printer others do not. And teh same user with issue on, one printer does not have a color issue on another printer with the same setup.

 

Drivers are deployed via a sever client relationship. no group policy involved, user use NT print to download and install the driver fromt he print server.

 

Please help, we have over 7000 end points and this is driving me nuts. I cannot pin point what the issue is.

 

How the issue begins:

 

 - Printer1(Older Model) installed on Server1 with driver Xerox GPD PS V3.7.469.10.8

 - Printer1 replaced with Printer2 (WC 7970 or C60) using the same driver (Xerox GPD PS V3.7.469.10.8)

 -

 

 

 

 

Phaser 4600 Duplex Printing Strange Results

Hello. I have a Phaser 4600 that has started printing duplex jobs in a very strange way. When the document is printed, it comes out as seen below. Page one has page 3 on the back of it. Page 2 has page 4 on the back of it. If I print off a 6 page document page 1 has page 6 on the back, page 2 has page 4, and page 3 has page 5. Not only are they out of order, but the orientation is wrong too. Some of the pages require a flip on the long edge, some on the short edge. I've tried reseting the network connection, printing from multiple computers. restarting the printer, and printing from another program. I've searched online for anyone with a similar problem and have come up empty. Any assistance with this issue would be greatly appreciated. It's leaving me mind boggled!

Driver defaults issues

We installed a Xerox 7845, and installed a print driver on multiple computers locally, changing the default to print single sided and in color.  Now all of a sudden, those drivers (all of them according to the site) have been changed to 2-sided, and Black and White, and the option to even change to color is unavailable (See image).  This does not make sense to me, as the drivers are not being pulled from a server but are installed locally.  Nevertheless, this is what I am told.  Could this possibly happen due to a change made in Centerware?

Xerox Workcentre 7970 on Windows 10 and Color Output

We recently got a Xerox Workcentre 7970.  My machine in IT is Windows 10 while all our user machines are currently Windows 7.  When I print a document to the machine, the color is very off (best way to explain is that is defintely lighter in color) and doesn't match the output of when that same document is printed from a Windows 7 machine, which is the correct output that I am expecting.

 

Could it be a driver issue and Windows 10?  I have tried both the desginated Windows 10 64bit driver and the Global Print Driver and have the same result.   Our Windows 7 machine are using the latest Global Print Driver.

Xerox 7400 Banding/Ghosting

I use OEM toner and parts all of which have only done 100-300 A3 prints so far on Xerox glossy paper. Ive tried standard/enhanced/photo quality. I've tried standard plain/heavy plain/ and glossy paper settings. When I troubleshoot and print the limit sample pages I get strong banding and ghosting. For example notice the ghost A under the original:

This happens on all colors but seems to be only the dense parts so light yellow and cyan arent too bad. Fusing appears OK no toner rubbing off. Also, I wouldn't print a small image and get a duplicate further down the page, it only appears to ghost on another part of the image, if this makes sense?
