Hi there,
My Xerox Phaser 7800GX won't print photos or skintones properly. Vector images are mostly ok, but I can tell the colours are sligntly not right. It's worse though with photos, inparticular they are washed out compared with the same image printed from a much cheaper HP 1525n.
It's not a new printer, but has been serviced, and has genuine toners. The transfer belt etc... is showing as plenty of life remaining.
What I've already done:
- Tried the V3 and V4 driver
- Printed from Windows 10 and Windows 7
- Cleared the NVRAM and started again
- Colour calibrations on my paper
- Only using Xerox Colortech papers
- Printed with and without ICC profiles (automatic and manual colour controls)
- Printed from Affinity Photo, Affinity Publisher, and Adobe Acrobat
- Tried Vivid Colours and other colour settings
Word documents etc... print perfectly fine, vector graphics (even on t-shirt transfer papers) print OK, but anything photographic is just wrong... help!!!
Any and all advice appreciated.
Cheers,
Stuart
