Telnet port 23

On Xerox MFD's, specifically Altalink and Versalink,  is there a way to enable or disable Telnet, port 23 from the EWS?  Is is enabled by default? and where can we check this setting?

Also our Manage Services fleet includes WorkCentre 53xx, 3615, etc.
