I have a Phaser 7500DN and I'm running OS X 10.11.6 , trying to print from Photoshop, Illustrator and from PDFs.
I design and create graphic art prints to sell, which more often than not feature large areas of flat colours, but the colour isn't "flat" at all. There are large areas where the colour is paler and not consitent. This happens on thick card stock (on which I want to print my art) , and on general office paper.
I'm also having issues with the colours being way off how they appear on screen.
I have tried calibrating for paper, changing the colour correction, letting printer determine colours, letting the software detemine colours, adjusting the colour correction settings, etc.
The information on the "Troubleshooting Print Quality" pages directs me to the Kowledge base for support, but can't seem to access it. This is also where it directs me for information on Pantone matching, which was one of the reasons I purchased this printer. I am still none the wiser.
Having tried so many things, I fear I am in over my head and don't have enough knowledge to rectify the problems.
Am I being unrealistic to expect this printer to produce prints to a high enough quality to sell?
Any advice would be gratefully received. Thank you.
